for all ages and levels of experience

Workshops are a great opportunity for students to explore new interests, develop and hone existing skills, learn from and engage their peers, and pursue their passions in a structured, collaborative environment.
 

Music Theory for Youth

Would you like to learn or hone your knowledge of the basics of music theory? This class covers note reading, rhythms, keyboard orientation, and other music concepts essential to building good musicianship. No experience required.

Music Theory for Adults

Would you like to learn or hone your knowledge of the basics of music theory? This class covers note reading, rhythms, keyboard orientation, and other music concepts essential to building good musicianship. No experience required.

Open Mic Nights 

Come show off your talents! Invite your family and friends!

Instrumentalists, singers, actors, poets, comedians, and more…

Everyone who wants to perform is welcome!

 

Rock Band

Bring your instrument of choice or your voice, and get ready to rock!

Participants will gain experience learning and practicing songs as part of a group, navigating different musical styles, blending with and feeding off of others musically, and performing.  The group will learn a variety of songs based on the combination of instruments and vocalists involved.  The band performs at the end of each term.

 

Youth Vocal Workshop

These vocal workshops introduce youth to the basics of singing: intonation, breathing, expression, and techniques for working with a group. Participants learn a variety of repertoire which is performed at the end of each term.  Ages: 9-12.

 

Teen Vocal Workshop

These vocal workshops introduce teenagers to the basics of singing: Intonation, breathing, expression, and techniques for working with a group. Participants learn a variety of repertoire which is performed at the end of the 12-week term.

 

Adult Vocal Workshop

For adults who would like to develop their singing skills, this series is for you! Participants learn basic singing techniques and a variety of repertoire.  No prior singing experience required.  Ages: 18 and up.

Bouzouki Jam Sessions

Odeion School of Music is now offering bouzouki jam sessions for those of you who would like to learn basic bouzouki skills, improve your bouzouki playing, or be around other bouzouki players and simply play together!  Other related instruments, such as baglamas, mandolino, mandola are welcome.  Open to all ages.
