Payment of Tuition

Payment for individual instruction at ODEION is made on a monthly basis. Individual lesson times are reserved and payment for each month’s lessons is due in advance at the beginning of the month. Details of the payment plan are as follows:

Once per month, ODEION issues a billing statement for the upcoming month.
Payment for each month’s lessons is due in full by the 1st of that month. Payment may be made either by check or cash in person at the last lesson of the preceding month or by mailing a check, payable to ODEION, to:

ODEION
4122 Oakton Street
Skokie, Illinois 60076

No lessons will be given until full payment for the month is received.
Any payment received after the 1st of the month is considered late and is subject to a late fee of $15. The late fee is added to the following month’s billing statement.
There is a $20 fee for each returned check.
Tuition is non-refundable.
Tuition does not include the cost of books, materials, or recital fees.

Cancellations

For Eftihia Papageorgiou

If Eftihia cancels a lesson or part of a lesson, the value of the lesson time missed will be credited to the student’s account the following month.

When a student cancels an entire lesson by 12:00 noon of the day of the lesson, the value of the cancelled lesson will be credited to the student’s account the following month. Cancellations after 12:00 noon on the day of the lesson will not be credited.

Each student may only receive credit for two cancellations per school year. Thereafter, no credit will be given for a cancelled lesson, regardless of the reason for the cancellation. Credits for cancellations are not transferable and cannot be carried over to subsequent school years.
When a student cancels part of a lesson, no credit will be applied to the student’s account.

At the Eftihia’s discretion, another currently enrolled student (usually, but not necessarily, a sibling) may use all or a portion of an absent student’s cancelled lesson time. However, if another currently enrolled student uses all or a portion of the absent student’s cancelled lesson, the absent student is not eligible for credit for any portion of the the cancellation.

Lesson time may not be assigned to anyone who is not currently enrolled in individual lessons at ODEION.

Credit will not be provided when a student arrives late for a lesson or leaves a lesson early.
All Other Instructors
If the instructor cancels a lesson or part of a lesson, the value of the lesson time missed will be credited to the student’s account the following month.
Credit is not available for any lesson cancelled by a student.

If a student cancels an entire lesson by 12:00 noon on the day of the lesson, a make-up lesson will be scheduled. However, each student may receive only two make-up lessons per school year. Thereafter, no make-up lesson will be provided for a cancelled lesson, regardless of the reason for the cancellation. Make-up lessons are not transferable and unused make-up lessons cannot be carried over to subsequent school years.

If a student cancels after 12:00 noon on the day a lesson is scheduled, a make-up lesson will not be provided.
If a student cancels part of a lesson, make-up time will not be provided for the cancelled portion of the lesson.
Make-up time will not be provided for lesson time missed due to a student arriving late to a lesson or leaving a lesson early.
At the instructor’s discretion, an absent student may permit another student currently enrolled in individual lessons with the same instructor (usually, but not necessarily, a sibling) to use all or a portion of the absent student’s cancelled lesson time. However, if an absent student permits another student currently enrolled in individual lessons to use any portion of a cancelled lesson, the absent student will not receive make-up time for any portion of the cancellation.

Arrival & Waiting Time

It is the responsibility of each student to arrive on time. All lessons will end as scheduled, regardless of the time a student arrives. Anyone arriving to a lesson early should wait in the waiting room until it is time for the student’s lesson.

Parents are welcome to wait in the studio to observe a child’s lesson. Parents who wish to stay in the studio during lessons, please:

  • Remain quiet at all times
  • Do not interrupt the lesson
  • Do not discipline your child during the lesson

Parents who wish to leave and return when a student’s lesson is over, please:

  • Provide ODEION with an emergency phone number
  • Return promptly when the lesson is over

Any student’s sibling who also takes lessons is welcome to wait in the studio during a sibling’s lesson. In that case:

  • The sibling must sit quietly until it is time for his or her lesson. It is recommended that the sibling bring a quiet activity in which to engage in order to prevent boredom and interruptions--for example, a book or crayons and paper. Such activities or materials are not provided by the studio.
Students are not permitted to leave the school unattended for any reason.
